Siamak Najafi

Associate CIO, Academic Research Computing and Infrastructure Services

Sia is the Associate CIO of Academic Research Computing and Infrastructure Services. He is a WPI alumnus with his MS in mechanical engineering. Sia founded ARC and continues to provide vision and leadership in managing research computing as well as WPI’s IT infrastructure and related services.

Scientific Services

James Kingsley, PhD

Director, High Performance Computing and Faculty Support

James is the Director of High Performance Computing and Faculty Support with ARC. He is a WPI alumnus with his PhD in physics. James manages the Unix System Administration team and is in charge of the Turing high-power computing cluster at WPI, supporting research projects campus-wide.

Ermal Toto, PhD

Director, Scientific Data, Applications and Web Development

Ermal is the Director for Scientific Data, Applications and Web Development with ARC. He is a WPI alumnus with his PhD in computer science. His research interests include emotion and mood detection using machine learning, machine learning, and data mining.

Adriana Hera, PhD

Principal Application Scientist

Adriana is the Principle Application Scientist with ARC. She is a WPI alumnus with her PhD in mechanical engineering. She conducts trainings and consultations for scientific/engineering software applications to support research. Her research interests include structural health monitoring, structural vibrations, system identification, stochastic dynamic systems, and wavelets.

Erica Stults, PhD

Application Scientist II

A WPI alumnus with her PhD in mechanical engineering, Erica Stults is an Application Scientist II with ARC. She provides consultation for CAD, advanced rapid prototyping, and 3D scanning, and also manages the Advanced Rapid Prototyping Lab. Her research interests include computer aided design, rapid prototyping, renewable energy technologies, and optimization.

Albert Enyedy

Application Scientist I

Albert is an Applications Scientist I with ARC. He is a WPI alumnus pursuing his PhD in robotics engineering, focusing on vision-based robot control. He reviews Data Management Plans, develops ARC Canvas certificate training materials, and conducts scientific/engineering software trainings and consultations.

Web Development

Justin Amevor

Web Developer II

A WPI alumnus with his BS in computer science, Justin is a Web Developer II pursuing his MS in computer science. Justin develops for the WPI Hub and serves as an administrator of the Cherwell Service Management system. His research interest is using machine learning to address food insecurity.

Robert DelVecchio

Web Developer II

A Boston University alumnus with his Certificate in Graphic Arts & Web Design from the Center for Digital Imaging Arts, Robert is a Web Developer II. He develops for the WPI eProjects system that organizes research projects including IQPs, MQPs, and PhD dissertations.

Derek Murphy

Web Developer II

Derek is a Web Developer II with Academic and Research Computing. He is a Fitchburg State University alumnus with his MS in computer science. He develops for Digital WPI and supports and manages WPI’s WordPress and MediaWiki.

John Eismeier

Systems Engineer III

John is a Systems Engineer III with Academic and Research Computing. He is a WPI alumnus with his MS in mechanical engineering. John serves as a Systems Administrator for Linux systems.

Mark Taylor

Systems Engineer III

Mark is a Systems Engineer III with Academic and Research Computing. He has supported the WPI community for over 20 years as a Systems Engineer for Linux systems.

Reily Siegel

Systems Engineer II

Reily is a Systems Engineer II with Academic and Research Computing. He is a WPI alumnus with his BS in computer science. Reily serves as a Systems Administrator for Linux systems.
